Irregular Menstrual cycle
Hi.
I don't know what's getting wrong with my cycle. I had my last period on 11 April 2014. After that I just experienced very light blood spotting on 30th May, just for few days. Now on 17 June again I experienced spotting with few clots but not getting my period properly. Tell me the reason and is that a thing which I should worried about? Because there is no apparent any other symptoms like pain etc. and this the first time of this kind of irregularity. |

Have you been having unprotected sex? That main cause for missed periods is pregnancy. If you have been having sex, even protected, I would take a home pregnancy test using your first urine of the morning. Other than that what has your life been like? Any Illnesses? Much stress? Been on any medication? What do you use for birth control? There are many things that can cause irregular periods though sometimes there can't really be a prescribed reason.

I am not sure how effective that will be. How about stress? What has life been like? Compare it to last year this time.
It is REALLY hard to pin down a reason especially online, it would be very beneficial for you to talk to your doctor I think. |

Abnormal bleeding?
Hi,
I'm 25 years old and never been sexually active. Last period I got after almost 90 days (faced this type of irregularity 1st time). And between this time period I experienced 2 times spotting for week. Last day of my last period was 25\7. And now after 10 days 4\8 I started bleeding again. Is this alarming?? Not having any pain. Could it be cyst, or ovulation bleeding? Reply. |

Irregular periods are not alarming, especially when there is no pain, but it certainly is a good idea to see a GYN. There are just too many conditions it could be connected to, from harmless hormonal quirks that all women have, to something more serious. Some doctors adopt a 'wait and see' approach, or they may put you on a birth control pill to make periods regular, or they may do an ultrasound or other testing.
