I got pregnant with an iud in place and I was bleeding for at least a whole month w/o knowing I was pregnant. I wasn't sure when was my last Period because I had it 4/26 to 5/3 then stop for a week and half then from then on it didn't stop till my iud was removed at the er. I went to er for unbearable pain 6/8/14 and I was told that my iud was really low and that I'm pregnant with hcg 2900. I f/u with a new obgyn 2 days after, it was 6/10 visit to get an u/s. The gyn can't find anything in my uterus and my tubes and she check for a tissue in my cervix or my uterus to rule out miscarriage but she didn't find any. She ordered another blood work to check for possible m/c the number came back at 2058 and I was told I'm miscarrying and my body is doing it naturally and I was asked to do labs every week to check if it keeps going down. I had another blood work done on 6/11 and just got results today with 2514 hcg. I don't understand what is really going on. I been lightheaded and nauseous a lot. Please tell me what's going on. I gave them the first day of my last period of April 26 but I'm not sure if that really was the date of my lmp because I remember it stopped and had it again for may. Please tell me what's going on. I will appreciate it. Next lab work will be on the 6/18/14 thanks

You're, as the doctors told you, misscarrying your embryo. For some reason, which includes the presence of the IUD, the fertilized egg implanted but couldn't grow right so it aborted itself and now is waiting to be shed. What should you expect. Probably some heavy bleeding soon and a bad period. A lot of these questions should be asked of your doctor to be honest. Your body is going to handle this the way it knows how and it is going to suck for you for a little, but you'll get through it.
