Hey what do you think? I was talking to this guy online for a couple of weeks and we videoed cam once. Anyway he told me he was interested, anyway after that he just stopped talking to me. I was wondering should I be mad that he didn't let me know he didn't want to talk to me. I know online sometimes its tricky but I just feel he should have said something. Not sure how to feel about it.

WHy should you feel anything... he doesn't owe you anything and neither do you owe him anything. Just ignore it ever happened... and walk out of your house and meet a real person face to face... people often pretend to be somethintg they aren't because they are online... nobody is actually there to know differently.

How do you know he's not a registered sex offender? Or some other type of criminal? You don't...and you don't know anyone who knows them personally....that knows them in real life where things can't be hidden as easily.

And the old excuse of "well he really SEEMS like a nice guy" , Well most of them do....if they appeared to be a creep while still across the street, how would people let them get close enough to do their thing.

Ted Bundy was a ladies man....and the last person you thought would be a danger. Thats how he managed to get so many victims, he turned out to be a now famous serial killer. (seriously look him up if you don't know who he was)

I agree with Smoothy, since you never know what another is really about, or what's going on in their lives then you simply let go. Chalk it up as a learning experience, and move to the next adventure in your own life. The net is tricky and you just never know what you are getting into or with whom.

Wow a Ted Bundy reference. Without looking I am guessing he was put to death in January 1989. He was well known in Florida.

Knowing someone who knows someone he knows... is far different than knowing them yourself. That's a HUGE level of detachment. Using that same logic I can say I know most of the leaders of the world. If you see the pont I'm making. Pass any information through that many people and it changes. Its effected by each persons judgement and perspective... and even bias. If the last person who knows him personally is a friend of his... you can be certain they will only say something positive about him... true or not.

Long story short... you can only trust what you can verify directly yourself... anything that comes from someone else might be the truth but also even a half truth or even outright lie.

Halftruths and lies can get you in serious trouble. So you have to use an abundence of caution. As you get older and find out you aren't invincible you will understand why this is so important.
