    Adding outside hose bib
I want to add an outside hose bib at my house. It is older and doesn't have any. I think I have located the outside water main coming into the house and based on pics seems to be straight forward and simple, but with that said, I know how it can go. Name: image.jpg

I would not be 100% sure that's water pipe. It can also be gas. Trace your cold water line to see what this pipe is. Back to you. Milo

Unscrew the plug. If water comes out you know what it is. If gas comes out screw it back in. Looks more like a gas line to me.

Where are you located? If freezing weather is a problem, then you'll want to address insulating those exposed pipes. That is IF they are water and not gas.
