    Truss roof construction
I am building a garage, it is the same width of my house and connects to the end of the house, it is 29ft 5in wide by 20ft long, I am putting a 20ft beam on one side to catch the trusses , the other part runs 90 degree to the first part and is 26ft wide by 32ft long overlapping the corner of the house by 2ft, I am wanting to use trusses on a 12/10 pitch with a loft, my questions are how long should I order my trusses and how do I tie the two roofs together and keep the valley away from the corner of my house? Any help would be appreciated greatly ps, this is all open and will be one garage

There are many 'truss calculators' online, better for you to fill in the measurements and even get a line drawing out of it. Some are truss companies who can answer questions about your design too (and sell you the trusses). I take it that you have the requirements for local fire code needed between your garage and house.

I am not clear on what a 12/10 pitch could be? I'm only familiar with pitch that is a ratio of a number less than 12/over 12. 5/12 would be 5 inches vertical for 12 inches horizontal, etc.

The few times I ordered trusses the lumber company looked at my drawings and made the calculations for me.
