ETG Test
Hi -
After reading the great advice provided, I am hoping you may be able to provide some guidance and alleviate some anxiety.
1. I took an ETG test, today (Wednesday) at 10:30am.
2. In the past 5 days I have drank approximately 1 large bottle of wine, 1.5 L - my last drink being Monday evening at 7pm with dinner.
---Saturday, I had 1 glass with dinners and 2 glasses with friends;
---Sunday, again 1 glass with dinner and 2 glasses with friends;
---and the same for Monday.
3. I am 5'2" and 115lb.
4. I was sick, so somewhat immobile Monday.
5. I excercised for 30 minutes Saturday & Sunday, and an hour on Tuesday
6. I consume approximately 16 oz coffee daily and 16 oz of water.
I am pretty sure I will fail this test but am hopeful that my estimations are incorrect - therefore am requesting advice based on your expertise.
Thanks much -
Anna

Oh, drinking occurred over a 2-3 hour period each night. The test was for employment, I didn't know they used EtG.

Whatever we tell you won't change the outcome, the test is done. Considering the amount of wine, failure is indeed possible. What are the consequences of failure? Are you on probation with No alcohol restrictions?

Understandable, just appreciate feedback. Some of the reports I read are confusing. Had I known it wasn't just a standard drug screening or the standard alcohol 24 hour test I would have abstained.

Considering you had probably less than 36 hours from your last drink I would put the odds really low. You might not get your job. You might pass, but it is unlikely.
You never know though. Odder things have happened.

I'm a fairly optimistic person when it comes to time frames of ETG testing, as least when it comes to myself, I know my limits... but at ~36 hours, I would expect to fail this one, personally. But, you never know... it was a relatively small amount over a long period... some pass in 24 hours, you may get lucky... also, given your small frame, it would make your BAC higher, and take longer to 'wear off' I do believe.
Good luck - que sera sera
I don't know what cutoffs employment tests go by, mine is 500ng/mL - if it is higher, your chances increase, of course...

Yes I understand that I guess I'm looking for something to give me hope that I will be OK. I know I made the wrong choice. Just asking questions and I'm so worried!

It won't be okay. That's the problem. You broke the rules. You're going to get punished for it. It probably won't be as bad as you think, but it will be a lesson learned. If that is the case than it wasn't a wasted experience.

ETG results take ~24 hours, I have self tested many times. You should know the answer by now.
