    Meth and fetus
    If a person was a heavy meth user before finding out their pregnant,but stops as soon as they do find out. Does anyone knows the affect the drug may have on a five week old fetus?

    Hi scaredexpecting,

    Odds are good that your baby will be fine since you have stopped early on. For baby's safety, your safety, and the safety of your pregnancy itself, do get the support that you may need to help with continuing to stay away from drug use.

    It can have serious effects, the doctor should be aware of all of this. Even the withdrawal now, can have effects on baby

    I think just stopping the meth use is a GREAT start to GET healthy and having a healthy baby. Keep getting healthier.
