    BV
I recently tested positive for Gardnerella vaginalis, BV. My doctor said it was a good idea for my boyfriend to also take flagyl to lessen the chance of reinfection. I know some doctors say men don't need medication but it is better to be safe. I was wondering if he should take a weeks worth, twice a day? I read online then men only need to take the medication for 3 days.
    Advise please and thank you.

Let him take the full dose, what difference does it make really if he gets rid of it so he doesn't re-infect you? On line information is not as good as your doctor's advice.
