Help my harbor breeze avian fan is not working
I recently purchased a HB Avian Ceiling fan w/light as a display sale. It didn't have the remote connection. I installed one and made a mistake. Poof. Now , removing the remote receiver, no power to the fan or light. It's not a wiring problem because they both worked before. Is it possible I burned out the capacitor? And if so, do you have instructions on replacing this?

Poof is usually a short which would trip a breaker or blow a fuse. Check for power to your ceiling box between the white and black wires.
