    Few months ago I used to enjoy my life a lot I love technology, gadgets, girls and I was able to balance studies with fun. During my good days I was always living in depressive environment but I used to manage somehow everything, but from few months I am suffering from depression, The main causes of my depression are negative thoughts which I don't know why negative thoughts are coming in my mind again & again without any reason , my mood is bad almost half of the day during this bad half my mind is unable to focus on good, It seems I have nothing to do in life I don't enjoy things so much , life is very bored. Only on some days I feel very high in mood but they come very less, I am taking an anti depressant after taking advice of mental health counsellor, I still don't understand the higs & lows of my mood, the main problem is when my mood is good I understand everything but when it is bad no inspiration, help please

    You seek help from a medical professional. THere are a number of reasons for depression... and they can be treated. Everyone has up days and down days... but if the down days are really down... or they last long periods... then seek out medical help. There is no excuse to be suffering in silence when help is easily found.

    Since depression affects the mind.. its going to affect your ability to understand when things get off balance. And that's why you really can't self treat or self medicate effectively.
