    Car accident tickets question...
    Hello... need a little help

    An intersection (not serious) accident...

The open records dept of the sheriff's dept had recorded that one lady had one

Citation and one ticket marked on a police report. The other person had o tickets.

The lady with the o tickets was told 7 months that she was not at fault.

The other office, not sure when, had recorded that the lady with the citation and

Ticket, had paid one... the citation.

The other lady was recorded as having 0 tickets.

Could the lady with the o tickets be investigated ? What office would be more

    Correct to follow?

    Thank You

What would someone having tickets or not have to do with investigating who was at fault in the accident? And if someone raises enough of a stink... it could be reinvestigated... and found that the other person was at fault. The police aren't infallible... and have been wrong. I've know a couple cases where they blamed the innocent person for the accident initially... and only later after witnesses complained was the correct person charged.

THere would be only one police dept involved, who was there and investigated... thats the office you work with.

Does this have anything to do with your other post about you possibly being followed?

I need to start reading posters other threads a lot more often.

I think there might be a lot more to this than they are telling us in either post. Call it a gut feeling.

Unless a citation was issued at the time of the accident, the record of citations has almost no bearing on fault in an accident. It MIGHT be used in court to show driving recklessness if there is a question of fault, but that's it.

Unless a police officer witnessed the accident, their accident report is subjective.

People generally get better help here if they explain the full situation rather that ask specific questions. We usually know what question to ask to get to the bottom of a situation so we can provide better advice.
