    Ask a plumber
    Our hose bib is under our deck. We want to add a bib up on the deck which is approximately 8 feet above the original bib. Can we add on a pipe that goes up through the decking? Gail J

    Yes. If you are lucky, the hose bib is threaded on with most likely a 1/2 male IP thread. If the bib comes off, make sure the water to the faucet is off!! thread on a 1/2 PVC or CPVC elbow, bring up a piece of pipe, another elbow and away you go. If the pipe is soldered, you will need to unsolder, add an ell, pipe and another ell, use a 1/2 to male IP fitting and get a hose bib that threads on.
