Wiring a new ceiling fan to dual wall switch.
I bought a ceiling fan with a light. I had a ceiling fan before connected to a wall switch that controls the fan on left side with a click for each speed. The right side pushes in and out to turn off light only. It also dims the light with a smooth turn. The new fan and light both come on when either light or fan switch are used. No way to have light off with fan on. What do I need to do? White, blue and black for new ceiling fan and ceiling has Red, Black and white.
We have black with black and white with white. The red and blue are both with the black, where did we go wrong?

Have to separate red from black. Blue is light, black is fan. House feed black to motor black, red to blue.
