Will faulty oil sensor cause a car to stall?
When it is hot outside, 80dg my 1988dodge dekato stalls. I let it sit for about 30 minutes and it will restart. This happens when the outside temp is 80 or above. My oil sensor seem to be bad as it blinks on occasion when I stop or idle.

No. If you increase the idle rpm, the oil light should stay off. Without knowing the exact engine, it's hard to say for sure what's causing the engine to stall--I suspect something along the lines of a failing Ignition Control Module or fuel injection relay. It's got to be an electrical component breaking down with the heat.

I had an 88 Chrysler LeBaron that the fuel pump would quit on it when it got hot. Once you let it sit, it would be ok again until it ran for a bit. With that said, I would follow what TGM said but I just wanted to put this out there as a possible problem to look at if the other advice doesn't work.

Some of the newer cars will shut the engine down with low oil pressure. However, not sure that your vintage would have that option..
