Is it possible to get an upper and a lower Urinary Tract Infection at the same time?
Today I went to the doctor and she told me that I have a Urinary Tract Infection. However, she did not tell me if it is upper or lower.

I have the symptoms of the lower but I am also getting some symptoms of the upper.

A UTI is upper and lower, or, affecting your bladder too. Did she give you a regime of antibiotics to clear it up?

A UTI is usually referred to as a bladder infection. That would be "lower." An "upper" UTI would be a kidney infection.

Assuming your doctor put you on antibiotics, that should take care of both upper and lower.
