I have a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica that won't go into gear.
While driving my car it started to shake, then it wouldn't drive. I can manually put it into gear but it does not move. The rpm's rev high but the car doesn't move. What could be wrong?

    . Check for codes.

. Check the transmission fluid--level, color, and smell. It should be pink without a burnt smell. If it's brown, black, or burnt, the clutch packs are likely toast and the transmission probably needs rebuilding or replacing. Transmission fluid (ATF+4) and filters should be changed every 25,000 miles or 2 years, whichever comes first.
