    Rv stuck
My Chevy 30 van nose class 3 motor home is stuck on hill/driveway. It sat a long time. Well it needed trans fluid. I put 2 quarts in it cause it wouldn't try to move. And it may need more. It try's to move now but I think parking brakes are rusted and stuck in back. I tried to rock it and can't get it to move much. It go's less than an inch either direction? Maybe it needs more fluids. I need a way to get this rv to move? Is there a way to do that with out taking rv apart to look at brakes. I doubt it's the transmission at this point. I looked at linkage and it works good. That was my first thing to check before I added fluids.

Checking the trans fluid on a hill is not a good idea. It is very possible that it wasn't even low and it is now over filled.

Anyway, if the brakes are stuck and rocking it doesn't work, there isn't much more to do than to take it apart. I have seen rusted brakes that broke apart when rocking the car to free them so be careful of that as well.

I know fluid was empty cause it stopped leaking. I should have fixed the leak. Them brakes are big heavy duty ones I don't think rocking will work, I don't want to kill my rv
So I didn't go to crazy with that. That's why I'm here looking for ideas. I hate my driveway. I should have moved my rv more often. I am negligent for this situation. Now ill be out there for a week with that rv :(

Try lubricating and working the parking brake cable--it may be severely corroded and not releasing. You can try WD-40 but it's best to use a graphite-based lubricant; e.g. Kroil's Pentafite. Other than that, more desperate measures are in order.

How long was it sitting? That's most likely the 14 bolt corporate rear end... if it's the 9.5" semi floater or the 10.5" full floater doesn't really matter... the brakes are the same on both. But if you have duallies...its likely the 10.5" full floater.

If its been well over 6 months it sat... I bet rust built up on the inside of the drum surface.

I've been through that with those brakes on my rarely used GMC truck once... You have a heck of a job ahead of you.

I spent HOURS getting the drums off mine destroying the old shoes and most of the mounting hardware in the process.

I actually HOPE you don't find that to be a problem on yours.
