    Water well priming
I have an ao smith water well pump model #c48l2n134c2. I lost power to the pump for about 2 hours and now my pump is running but my psi gauge reads 9 and I have no water. Has it lost it's prime?

My psi gauge on my pump reads 0 after losing power for about 2 hours, do I need to prime it and if so how do I do that?

This is a surface pump is that correct? On top of the impeller cage they should be a plug or a pressure gauge that you can remove and fill the impeller cage with water. Replace the plug or the gauge and turn the pump back on. Good luck Tom

It sounds like a faulty foot/check valve to me. Try priming the pump again and if it loses water check and replace the valve. Good luck, Tom
