    What can be deducted on taxes from taking FMLA to care for mother?
    My husband took FMLA for few months to care for his very ill mother can anything be deducted on income taxes to help us?

    He may be able to deduct the expenses of care, but I doubt it.

    I agree with Scott; there is little to deduct other than the care costs, and that can omly be deducted after 10% of your AGI is accrued.
