    I am an independent contractor and I need to figure out how much in taxes I need to p
    I make 2588 a month as an independent contractor and need to find out how much in taxes I owe. And what is the tax percentage?

    If you want to do your own taxes, you need Schedule C, SE, and long form 1040 (minimum). You can print them off IRS.gov. It's not that hard to figure out your expenses to put on Sch C.
    Or pay a tax preparer. Bring as many receipts for expenses as you can possibly think of.
    You don't owe quarterly estimated tax the first year, but do from then on.

    We can't give you any numbers since we don't know your expenses. You will have to pay ALL your own Social Security and Medicare plus income taxes. Most libraries have the forms. Little late to get started, April 15th is 1 week away.
