    Looking to install an electric furnace that takes 20kw, our home has 125 amp service will this be enough?

    Probably not, that is 80 amps+at 240VAC. What other electric load do you have- Dryer, stove, oven, hot water heater?

    You would need to feed that 20kw furnace from a 100+ amp circuit.
