    I am pergnant!
I know I haven't been on in a few weeks but I am pregnant and I am have all kind of trouble with this go round... I am due in 14 weeks and 4 days but now my dr says that I will be lucky if I make it to the 12th week mark... should I be concerned or anything?? I know I can't wait to see my new baby and all but I just want all the trouble to og away... for the past week I have been getting pens and needles down the right side of my body and I can't sleep or nothing... the dr said that it will go away when I have the baby but until then I am stuck with it... is there anything that I can do at home to be a little less in pain... p.s. it's a boy!!

I know it is stressful at this point but its best to calm down and let nature take it's course. It sounds like he is sitting on a nerve. My son did that and I had very little feeling in my left leg for a month and a half, and my leg was always doing that pins and needles thing. I suggest you take a hot bath/shower everyday and try to stay off your feet as much as possible. Try sleeping with a pillow between your knees and one up against your back. Also if you get your husband to stand behind you and wrap his arms around you with his hands just below your tummy and gently pull up, it will help to relieve some of the pressure and pain. But make sure he lifts ever so gently. Good luck, you are almost there.

Well, if you make it the 12 week mark, that will only make him 2 weeks early. These days your baby is considered term at 37 weeks, and generally they won't take steps to stop the contractions. (Meaning that your baby will most likely-if all goes well- be born without need of medical help for his breathing etc after) Its wonderful if you can make it to the 40 week mark, but as long as you make it past the 37 week mark, you should be fine. Just discuss it with your doctor, they can help answer your questions and ease your fears. Besides, you might surprise everyone and go over due, and have to be induced! Babies are pretty unpredictable. They thought my first son would be 7 pounds and come a little early, (just a few days before due date) but he ended up being 8lbs 21 1/2 inches, one week late, and I had to be induced twice to convince him to come out. So you never know. Good luck to you hun.

My daughter was born at 32 weeks weighing 2lbs 9oz she is now 19 months old and a cheeky monkey to boot.
Relax everything will be fine stay as calm as possible and let the dr's do the worrying that's what they are there for and they know there job.
