    Loudness of gas discharge tubes
    Why are the high voltage power supplies for gas discharge tubes (the type used in physics and chemistry classrooms) so loud?
    Electric discharge (little lightning)? I think not, because if this were the case, we'd get the telltale scent of ozone.
    What are their frequency?
