    Tactile transducer
    Hello,
I am wondering what components are In this device (The shaker under the couch)? DIY Tactile Transducer ( Bass shaker ) 250W 1"08" is Powerful ! - YouTube

I want to make one of these that can move at least a 5 lb weight (Coil included) back and forth.
How would I go about constructing one of these? Ive seen the ones that modify sub woofers, but this seems more durable. Is it simply transformer coil with a permanent pole magnet in the center. Does a transformer coil simply have a positive and negative lead just like a speaker? Where would I buy the components to make this? Any reading you guys recommend for me to understand these concepts better?
    Thanks!!
