I have two 20a amp breakers I replaced recently due to tripping off. They continue to do the same with the new 20a breakers. Is it time to upgrade to a 30 amp or is there something wrong with the wiring or the pool pump which is what these breakers operate?

I could swear I answered this earlier today but sure don't see my answer. No you can't just up the breaker without knowing the wire size in the circuit. A 30 amp breaker might heat up the wires before breaking and you could create a fire hazard. If 2 breaker blow and you replace them and the replacements blow there is a problem. What all is on the circuit and how many amps does the pool pump pull? Also how far from the panel is your pool pump.

Sounds like the remote control module has gone bad. The quick answer is take the fan back to Home Depot. Trouble is the fan may not be active anymore and you may not be able to get an exact match replacement. Or you could just buy a add-on remote control unit ($35). You can also call Hampton Bay. They might be willing to send you a remote control module.
BTW, Hampton Bay is Home Depot's brand name.

The $35 add on remotes are not intended for replacing remotes installed at the factory. I would take it back.

I'm thinking maybe I'm missing part of this thread?
In any case, sometimes when a bulb blows it shorts out the remote receivers. You can obtain new receivers from the factory or simply exchange the whole fans at Home Depot.

You're correct with the confusing. Someone else jumped in with a breaker qusetion. Ignore anything from Tjudge and it will make sense. I directed Tjudge to make his own separate post.

Hampton Bay Remote Ceiling Fan - light works - no fan
[ 2 Answers ]
After about 4 months of use, this began to happen.
I would try to turn on the fan (either Low Med or High) and the fan would barely turn. Sometimes it would work - this lasted for about 5 days.
Since then, if you try to turn on the fan, you get no response. Now, the light will still turn on...
Hampton Bay/Home Depot

Is there any truth to advice someone gave me never to purchase lighting fixtures such as Hampton Bay (or other Home Depot stuff), mainly because their being manufactured in China makes them of inferior quality and that they will corrode or otherwise breakdown very quickly?
