    I recently had a laparoscopy
    Hi my name is Rebecca,
I recently had a laparoscopy a month and 1 week ago, straight after I got my period.
I am now or 3 days ago was due for my period, but all that is happening is dark brown spotting for 3 days. The doctor told us they we can start trying 2 weeks after op and we did. What could the dark spotting be?

Most likely it is the start of your period.

I have never had this for 3days though and I normally get this colour at the end of my period not at the start.

Dark spotting is usually referred to as "old blood." This can occur at the beginning or end of your period. Considering that you had a procedure a month ago, this can cause your period to be off and different than your norm.
