    Evicting My Boyfriend Too
    I live in NY and am in the most dysfunctional relationship I have ever been in before and need to be free of it.

    Not only is he verbally and emotionally abusive but he has stopped helping with the electric along with other living expenses (food). He is behind 3 months now on his share of cable. I'm planning to block the cable box so he can't watch TV (mine gets shut off when I son't pay... he should be treated no differently!) He sleeps on the couch (for years!) I'm going to flip the circuit breaker switch for the living room so he isn't using it and not paying for it!

    Did I mention... I've blocked the TV before and he just went to his mom's to watch hers? Oh... and he's loves to party with his friends and... he's a GAMBLER!
    Money has been very tight for me so it has been easy to adjust to living like this. Now I'm ready to take the plunge of poverty! I WANT HIM OUT!

    My name is the only name on the lease and when I signed it, I listed myself and my 2 kids as the only tenants.

    How can I legally evict him?

    Check the laws on eviction for NY. And then follw them. Find a battered spouse support group to help.
