Can a filter on the faucet in the bathroom cause a leak under the bathroom sink?
My son has a leak under his bathroom sink, he also has a filter on the faucet of the bathroom sink. Can the filter on the faucet cause a leak under the sink. This is what he was told by his community maintenance guy.

Not sure the filter itself would cause a leak but any loose or misaligned fitting can leak. Usually tightening the fitting will fix the leak but sometimes the valve packing needs replacement or the fitting has a crack. A plumber should be able to help you out.
