This condition is a thickening of the heart muscle (a birth defect) which requires intervention in the way of an implanted device called a defibrillator. This device normalizes the blood flow through the heart enabling active people a normal life. However, there are restrictions; a six month check up every six months, and no MRIs the rest of your life as the defibrillator cannot of turned off for this function. Actual name is cardiomyopathy.
