    Can I use rc wire from wall to connect r on thermostat
    Can I use just the red wire rc from the wall and connect/insert it into the R slot to the thermostat. The wall has only 4 wires coming out of it. Will it work the same by just connecting rc red wire to R slot on thermostat . My old thermostat had had a jumper attached to each other.example: on thermostat rc and R were joined together already and the red wire from the wall was connected to Rc thermostat. Can I avoid it by just connecting redwire from the wall to straight just R. because the Honeywell thermostat don't have rc slot only R slot.

    If there is no Rc or Rh terminal, only an R, yes, connect the red to R.
