    If a car is in my name can my husband take it if we separate in Kentucky
    I am thinking of separating from my husband he is threating to take to car that I have in my name and insurance is in my name. He is not listed. We live in Kentucky. Can I file charges for stolen property?

    The person on the title is the one who can do what she or he wants with it, unless you divorce. Who gets it then will be settled by both of you, your lawyers, and the judge.
    IF you are the sole name on the title, yes, you should be able to ask the police to charge him with theft. Are you sole name, and s there a loan/lien on the title, and who is on that if yes?
