    When my furnace comes on I smell something like an electric motor burning.
    When my furnace comes on I smell a hot electric motor smell.

    It could be a motor. Many furnaces have a small exhaust motor & a larger circulating fan motor. Feel the motors. If one feels really hot, there's your problem.
