    Eviction after Foreclosure
    My home was foreclosed an sold at public auction I am wondering how long I have to remove my personal belongings an if I should be due any money for a relocation fee ? I live in Rhode Island

    Since you knew about the auction, you need to vacate immediately. If you don't the new owner can start eviction proceedings immediately. So you may only have a couple of weeks before a sheriff physically removes you.

    And to add to that... you are not due any relocation fee. That's on you.

    No, there is no relocation fee.

    Are you still living in house ?

    If not, once it is sold, the new owner may believe he owns it all.

    In re reading your post I realize its not 100% clear that you were the owner. My answer was based on you being the owner. However, if you were renting the house, you may be given up to 90 days to vacate or you may be offered "cash for keys" to get you out sooner.
