    Malibu walkway lighting
I had 6 Malibu walkway lights installed by my contractor but they keep blowing bulbs. Some last a few weeks, others a shorter time. I have replaced at least 6 of them now and the lights have only been in for a month or so. Something is wrong, but the contractor just says they are cheap lights and I should just keep replacing the bulbs. Does not seem right and the bulbs are not cheap. Any suggestions besides getting a new contractor?

What wattage bulb are you using? What is the wattage output of the transformer?

Check the connection between the leads of each light and the line. Probably find insulation piercing type connectors. Probably getting moisture in. Seal connections with silicone.

Walkway Lighting [ 3 Answers ]

Would you consider solar powered walkway lights "sufficiently" bright enough for walkway lighting in a moderately dark area? The ones we are looking at are "3 LED lights". Our other option is to run low voltage wire. We'd rather use the solar for ease of install if they are bright enough. I...
