Have I got appendicitis?
Hi so I have been having lower right side pain for about two weeks now it's getting worse. It started in the centre of my abdomin and moved over to my right side. It starts dull and gets sharper and more crampy as it moves to the side. Other symptoms I have been having are diarrhea, fever, light headed and lower right back pain is it appendicitis? I'm going to the doctors today but what if they say it's nothing and just send me home? Can you help? X thank you x I'm a thirteen year old female at about 5'7-8

Sorry, but we do not diagnose on line. Your symptoms could cover a number of things. If you explain correctly and clearly to your doctor there will be no problem.

"What if?" You worry about what if after you hear what the doctor says.
Yes, doctors do sometimes miss the seriousness of a problem, but at 13, you rely on a parent to take the next step. And if you have a fever, I highly doubt that the doctor is going to dismiss your symptoms.

You get the doctor to find out what it is. You talk to your parents and let them be sure you get proper care.

I agree with the others... you can't diagnose yourself... and nobody can diagnose you online. You talk to your parents and have them take you to the doctor. THey decide if its because you ate too much junk food or if its something of concern.

How high is your fever cause when I had appendicitis mine was 104.3 and the pain started that day early morning and around 10pm it was really bad so I went to the hospital also how's you appetite I was able to eat but not very much some people can't eat at all . Don't expect the doctor to say appendicitis cause this has been lasting for 2 weeks its probably IBS or a different GI problem might even be an infection of your intestines. Mostly likely not appendicitis

Please realize that if this was appendicitis it would have have been dealt with one way or another by now. Consider the date of a post before responding to it.

Appendicitis is diagnosed with blood tests and ultrasounds. We can't do either here. Pain and fever could be caused by many disorders other than appendicitis.
Since this post is from February 10, and it now is February 27, the OP (original poster) has either been officially diagnosed with appendicitis or some other illness by this time.
