    Shower gurgles while draining.
Shower drain has recently started gurgling as the last water goes down. There is no pooling during the shower. Any ideas?

Man, you should worry if it wasn't gurgling, and was pooling up during a shower. That's the sign of a slow drain, but yours seems to be draining VERY well.

    Hi Dbmcnair

A gurgling at the end of a fixture draining can be either the back pressure caused by a PARTIAL BLOCKAGE to the drain, or it could even be that the shower vent is clogged. I'd snake the drain as gurgling and burping drains allow sewer gases to escape into the home and that is not a good thing. You shouldn't have to snake more than 10-15 ft. maximum if you have a typical bathroom.

A licensed plumber installed a drain vent pipe for a garage bathroom and simply capped it off in the wall - solid cap. He did not take it up into the attic or through the roof. He says it meets code - I think he's being lazy because he'd have to through a joist to get it above the interior wall. ...
