Just curious. Everybody on this site seems to agree that the best way to get your ex back is to leave them be and let them come to you. How many people has this worked for? I am just curious!

This has worked for me twice, although I was too naïve to realize what I was doing. I didn't know about NC to make them miss you, I just quit talking to them because we broke up. That being said, after they came crawling back it was never the same. I didn't trust them anymore and the "spark" had left as a result.

The second time it happened I thought for the 3 or 4 months I wasn't talkng to her, "I wish she'd come back" and "it could have worked" and then she came back. The funny thing was after that I was depressed, and thinking, "I really wish you had just left me alone." The moral of the story, be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

The way I always feel about breaking up is that if it didn't work in the first place, then why would it work the next.
BUT OF COURSE, there are always exceptions to this rule and relationships are always a case by case situation. Everyone's ends differently.
I can understand if both were very young and immature and later matured and realized their true feelings.
But later on in life some come to realize that if it didn't work out the first time, don't expect to the second.

Well I know of my cousin who split up with his ex when they were in their late teens. A few years later they met again and have been together for 10 years now.

My ex came back twice after 1 week in each respectivee break up. The third break up and I believe the last which is current is now since Feb 12th being April 10th today. Its only now I am beginning to get a grip on life once more and having as much fun as humanly possible.

I wish for my ex to come back or we to be friends but its not looking hopefull. We maintian sporadic MSN contact for about two weeks now.
