    Director of a business but also owning another?
    Live in Brisbane: Can I be a director of one business and continue to owner/operate a separate business. Have own ABN and books. Completely different business areas.Do I have to show my financials to other director of the other business? He is asking for them. If so, why?

    You may own a company and be director in several other companies if they will hire you. It is up to the person or board that you report to, as to what you have to provide. If there is a concern over competition or other concern. If the person asking is merely a equal to you, I would go to the person or persons you report to.
