    Hardship laws
    I live in Indiana and am on SSI. Am I required to pay court costs and probation fees?

    There are normally no "hardship laws" you are required to pay fines, court costs and expense if you are guilty of crimes. Being poor is not an excuse for criminal behavior and you are responsible as anyone.

    The court may consider community service or jail time but that needs to be discussed with judge
