The thing is, normally I am pretty happy with life. I am married, and have been for 3 years. My wife and I have talked about having a kid, and we both want one. We have been trying for about 2 years, no avail. On top of that, my boss at work has made hints that in his eyes a "family" is only a couple who has at least one kid. So, to him, my wife and I are simply a married couple. However, that does not affect how he divides work to me at my job, its simply the remarks he makes that hurt really.

I have been having dreams of actually already having a kid, and being very happy, and playing with them, then I wake up, and when I wake up I am instantly depressed. My wife and I both want a kid of our own so bad. I have even gone to lengths of placing a bet with a co-worker that my wife will not be pregnant this year (By December 31st) The bet was $100.

I have even told myself, F*** it, no kid means more money saved, and another bet won. However, it still makes me feel really sad inside. I'm f***ing DONE!

Everything will be OK. Babies come when less expected. Who cares what your boss or anyone else thinks. Be happy love your wife and enjoy your life.

I understand that, and try to ignore his snide remarks. However it is also my wife, she is getting depressed as well, and she is thinking maybe she did something before she met me that made her incapable of having kids. At the same time I am thinking the same thing! I used drink as much Mountain Dew as I could get my hands on, at the same time I wore tightie whities, plus I had a jack friend that liked to randomly punch me in the nuts just for laughs...

How have you been trying to have a baby ?

Have you been to doctor and had a sperm count and checked for fertility. Has your wife been checked. She is checking her ovulation schedule by medical testing , not online charts. Are you having sex only right before fertile days and not having sex other times.

Both of you need to be checked out by a fertility specialist. There are many things, that when they are ruled out, will help to alleviate you trying to self-diagnose why you and your wife are unable to have a baby.

Ignoring what you can do, will leave you exactly where you are. Depressed- without any answers.
