    Pregnancy Concerns.
I am 27 year old male and my wife is 25 years old. We have been married for over a year now. We have been having unprotected sex for the past 3-4 months. However my wife is not pregnant. We have had sex almost every other day so am quite sure we also did when she was ovulating.

In the early marriage days my wife was having trouble with Honeymoon Cystitis .

Also my wife is slightly overweight, but I am fat. Even with my fat I live quite an active life. Also I masturbate almost every day. Including the days we had unprotected intercourse.

Do I need to worry about my overweight or my masturbation for getting my wife pregnant? Could her Honeymoon Cystits be any problem. Or am I worrying too early ?

    Hi hriteshvpatil,

The earlier UTI shouldn't be an issue, however, the frequent ejaculation could be. Also, it is important to keep in mind that 3 - 4 months, while it may seem otherwise, it not a long time to be trying for pregnancy. Although the majority will become pregnant within the first year, many healthy couples will find that it takes a bit longer, even with active trying. Most doctors don't consider testing until after that time because it is not unusual.

Generally frequent ejaculation is not an issue, but if you do happen to have a lower sperm count than normal (and you wouldn't know this unless you were tested for it), it could be. Forgo the masturbation on the days you would be having sex. Best to keep the numbers up as much as possible for what you want to achieve.

Continue with sex every 2 to 3 days if that works for the two of you. The last thing you want is for it to become a chore or simply a means to an end. Keep the focus on enjoying yourselves. Make any lifestyle changes together that you know would be healthy.

Try your best not to become discouraged, and if she isn't pregnant after a year of trying, then both of you might want to consider some initial testing.
