    Poop in carpet
My friend bought a foreclosure and we are learning as we fix it up. The carpet has ground in dog poo and I am not sure the best way to get it out. We have a carpet cleaner but need to get the poo out of the carpet first. Also, don't want to spend a fortune on cleaning supplies as it is a large house so is there any diy mixtures I can make that might get the job done

Ypu are totally unable to get all of the dog feces out of the carpet. What makes you think a dry mixture will do the trick? I would just take the carpet up after waste like that is is in it. You can try a good vacuum and two or three applications of steam cleaning but the feces is already down to the bottom of the carpet and you might make it look like it is gone but it will always be in the carpet.

We are going to replace the carpet at the end of the of fixing up the house. We are just trying to make the piece livable for a few months so he can move in then the money he is spending on rent can be put towards things like new carpet. I was not thinking a dry mixture I'm just not sure what would lessen it up. So for example if someone said mix water and xyz may loosen the stain then I could scrub most of it out as a temporary measure.

The best method is a good steam cleaning. You will have to do that anyway. If you could provide a picture to show just how bad it is would be helpful. Of course the odor will come back again after it is wet.
