Frozen pipes. How to shut off
Kitchen and laundry room do not get water from cold faucet. I can't find any frozen pipes so am just waiting for them to thaw. I have the two cold taps turned on. I have my thermostat up to 75. Is there anything else I can do? Seems like all plumbers are busy.
I cannot get the valve for turning off outside water to turn. Could that be important?

It sure could be important! Here, if those pipes thaw and they have broken (burst) as a result of freezing and you can't shut off the water main your house could get flooded and/or seriously damaged!

Call the city/town water department if necessary and just ask them to come over as a back up so that you don't end up breaking the shut off valve...hopefullty, they can help with that! Do this ASAP!

Otherwise, get a plumber or a handyman to pop in ASAP!!

    Good luck!
