Hi, 1st time here. I need help with a movie title. Saw this movie in the '90s. Highlights I remember from the movie are--set in California, any maybe Mexico. A man just got out of service (WWII?) and was headed home, on a bus,to his wife. (A blonde- who never read any of the letters he wrote to her, and she answered the door with a man behind her, live in lover?) The soldier was headed home on a bus and helped a young woman who was pregnant by her boyfriend(who left her). She was leaving home so her parents would not find out and she would bring dishonor on the family. The soldier offered to take her back home and pretend to be married to her. I think he gave her a band off a cigar. Somewhere along the line the soldier left his blonde wife so she could be with her lover. The soldier fell in love with the young woman and her family. There was a vineyard involved and they had to build a fire to keep the crop from damage. Seems like some of the young girls ran through the vineyard in gauze type dresses or like butterfly wings. Somehow a fire started and the entire crop was destroyed. Can anyone help me with this movie. It is driving me crazy! Thank you so much for your help. shboyd

I don't know the name of the movie but I believe the movie you are talking about has Keanu Reeves in it as the soldier. Hope this helps
