    Shower losing water pressure
Happy New Year! I've got a Moen shower. I am experiencing an lack of water pressure. I removed and replaced the cartridge. I am still having a lack of pressure. This is just the HOT not the COLD water. On either side of the fitting for the cartridge is an additional screw and in for hot and cold water. What do I do next?

    Thanks for your assistance.

Happy New Year to you, too Ed.

Those "additional screws" are integral shutoffs...may be the problem here. In this case, shut off the main water supply to the house and drain some of the pressure off by opening a faucet on the lower level of the home. Next, loosen the screw (integral shutoff) on the hot side and then unscrew the nut around the screw head (or pull the copper clip). Now, remove the screw head, spring and washer inside and then quickly turn the water supply to the house back on to purge the hot water pipe of any sediment/debris. Reinstall the shutoff screw (or discard parts and simply install the nut and cap) and turn water back on and test everything. Hopefully, this solves your issue...:)

    Back to you...
