Of course he does, that's what a good race hustler with no other real discernible purpose in life will do. he should really call himself into his office first.

I'll take protecting the life of a child over protecting the right to snuff it's life out at will any time. I also said I'm not in the gay marriage fight one way or the other, and the other is just a lie.

Stop taking broad statements personally so we can discuss the actions of what has been done by conservatives that have the power to make laws, and the laws they make.

Dude, as long as you continue this faux war on women meme and lie about voter Id, which most people support and I've already shown increased turnout in texas, don't preach to me about having an honest discussion. I was totally honest in my response.

It's illegal to collect rainwater in parts of the country. By all means don't take advantage of nature to give those life-giving plants a drink.

Why is it illegal in some places and NOT others?

Best guess is because of arcane water rights laws that date back a hundred years or more in some of the Western states. If a stream is dependent on run off ,and the run off is being captured by homeowners ,then the person owning the water rights of the stream is being deprived of that right.
The "logic" behind banning rain water collection is a fear that the collection will affect the recharging of the streams .

Also many of these rain collection vessels are plastics and as such release Bisphenol-A (BPA)into the water being stored ,especially when it's hot. BPA free barrels are available however so that is not really a justification for banning water collection.
Here in NY there is pretty much an abundance of water .We occasionally have drought restrictions so the reservoirs can be saved to water the golf courses.
I heard some idiots here were contemplating restrictions ,but it won't go anywhere.

The state apparently owns the rain, unless of course the runoff from your property cause problems, then it's all yours.

Nanny Bloomy banned indoor e-cigs use on his way out the door. Nanny de Blasio ,not to be out done announced that he wants to get rid of horse drawn carriage rides in NYC. Rides on carriages around Central Park have been a popular tourist feature for years . But de Blasio says it's cruel to the horses. It has also been a lucrative business as you can tell by the prices .
Central Park Horse & Carriage Ride, Wedding Carriage New York

Animal rights groups claim that it's inhumane to have the horse working on the streets of NY because they are exposed to exhaust fumes, and are overworked (sounds like your typical NYC pedestrian and commuter).... and have come up with an alternative "vintage" electric 'horseless carriage'to replace the attraction.

Best guess is that the quickest way to ensure a breed's extinction is to eliminate it's purpose for being . What is the future of the working horse breeds ?

Typical ignorant elitist nonsense. You'll be happy to know it's still perfectly legal to have horse drawn carriage rides in Texas. Occasionally you'll still see folks riding horses in town in these parts.

Anyone else get the irony in scientists announcing today that the earth is warming even faster than expected on the same day it's announced scientists and passengers finally got rescued from being trapped in the expanded Antarctic ice?

Don't know what they were researching but it was to commemorate the 100th anniversary of a voyage led by Australian explorer Douglas Mawson. Either the ice breakers were tougher then or the ice is worse now.
