Obviously A&E didn't think his comments were good for business. As Steven Colbert said, it would hurt the vast gay and black audience of Duck Dynasty. >chortle, chortle<

does the idea that there are people who disagree with the B/S put forward by gays and are prepared to say so offend someone. Oh dear, oh dear, we mustn't offend anyone. I would like to know; are real Christians becoming the minority over there

Hardly Clete, but some Christians don't agree with other Christians, about being Christians. Some gays are Christians too. Some Christians are not Christian enough for other Christians but they are all sinners.

hey Tal the message is we are all sinners but we don't have to wallow in it, nor do we have to wallow in someoneelse's sin. This is a season of goodwill for one reason and one reason only, yet there are those who don't want to recognise this and tear down the message whenever they hear it. Sexual orientation isn't a sin it is what you do with it, either way I am sick of pandering to a minority, any minority, because if they ever become a majority the human race is doomed

That's one of the big differences ,the humanists think this is all there is and want to changed this world into 'paradise'. Humans can't do that .

During the Paula Dean controversy ,Ball Maher said “Do we always have to make people go away?” Phil Robertson is not a philosopher .He just expressed his opinion .I did not see a similar outrage from the left here ,or from the gay community when Alec Baldwin verbally assaulted someone using vile homophobic comments. So my only conclusion is that the big difference is that Robertson is a devout Christian ;while Baldwin is a creature of the left.

Oh get over it. Everybody has a right to disagree with what Phil say. And what the pope says. And what the Bible says.

No, I'm not getting over it and enough of this straw man you keep tossing out about our side suppressing your right to disagree. Unlike the gay enforcement brigade at GLAAD I DEFEND their right to their opinion. If they want to be intolerant idiots they have that right, don't deny it to others.

If anyone should get over it is GLAAD and other purveyors of compulsory approval. You don't get to b*tch about intolerance and hate - especially when there was none - while being intolersnt and hateful without being called out for your hypocrisy.

That's exactly why the Robertsons must be stopped, they threaten the left's grip on pop culture and beyond.

Nobody has denied Phil anything Speech, criticism of his comments that he made is free speech too. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it wrong. What we shouldn't say anything?

Speaking out against what he said doesn't stop him from saying it does it?

Again, the point is to silence him. No one is trying to silence GLAAD. What part of I defend both side's right do you not get? Just don't pretend you're the gatekeeper of tolerance while being intolerant. I don't think you guys even know what that word means.

So anyone who disagrees with Phil's opinion of God, gays, and blacks is intolerant?

First of all his opinion was also to love everyone anyway, that's not intolerance. Second of all...

    Hello again, Steve:
Again, the point is to silence him.
Who's trying to silence him? His EMPLOYER??? Why shouldn't his EMPLOYER have the right to fire bigoted employees? I thought the right wing HATED the government telling them WHO they had to employ.

Certainly, no lefty is calling for him to be silenced... In fact, if people like him didn't exist, we'd INVENT them to show how WRONG you guy are... But, we don't HAVE to invent them. They're EVERYWHERE.

Still with the straw men. I've already defended the Artificial and Elitist network's right to can him so stop trying to play the hypocrite card on me.

As for no one trying to silence him, from GLAAD:

“Phil and his family claim to be Christian, but Phil’s lies about an entire community fly in the face of what true Christians believe. He clearly knows nothing about gay people or the majority of Louisianans — and Americans — who support legal recognition for loving and committed gay and lesbian couples. Phil’s decision to push vile and extreme stereotypes is a stain on A&E and his sponsors who now need to re-examine their ties to someone with such public disdain for LGBT people and families.”
Sever the ties you limit his platform to speak. They want him shut up, stop pretending they don't. In response to his call to love everyone anyway, NK called him an a$$hole and others calling him a hater, the hypocrisy should be evident but you guys only see what you want to see.

You have every right to blast A&E for their business decisions. As selectively as you want. So do I. And I do. I admit I am selective when I blast you guys. That's MY right, and I exercise it FREELY. We all freely exercise our rights.

Phil can say whatever he wants and take his show somewhere else if he wants. And get paid.
