Wub wub noise when water is drawn from the water boiler.
I have an old style water boiler, and when water is run for any lenth of time or rate, the pipes make a huge noise. If I run the water at a very, very slow rate it doesn't happen. It's a high pitched wub wub noise and only happens when the hot tap is run or the washing machine draws on the boiler water.

Any suggestions as too what is causing this?

    Thanks for your time.

Could be pressure regulator in the boiler, fill valve, loose disc in gate valve on supply.

    Ok, thanks.

As far as I can see, my hot water tank is just a barrel with an electrical element in it (I'm oversimplifying, but you get the gist), what is the part/area that you are talking about and is it easy to fix?

A diagram would really help (I did look but couldn't really find one that looked right) at this point.

I hope I wasn't too confusing/confused with my terminology, as I now realise I may have said boiler, but meant hot water tank.

There is no central heating in the house
