    The debt isn't mine. Ive never owned property in gwinnett county. But its on my credit report for 8yrs. How to get it off credit and prove it wasn't me

    If its just on your credit report then request the credit bureau to remove it.

    People go through hell proving this. You have to contact the company that placed the lien. They will probably ignore you. You may have to sue.

    As ScottGem indicated, simply contact the credit bureau. Show them that the specified property in Gwinnett County is not yours and never has been. You probably can do this by accessing the information online through the county's website.

    I suspect that they are reporting this because someone who does own the property has a name similar to yours.
