    1999 honda accord v6
My '99 honda accord keeps stalling out. I just purchased it a few months ago. I noticed it would briefly cut out but then quickly re-engage on its own. Recently the problem is becoming much worse. Stalling and not starting for up to 20 minutes. Iv'e read all the issues on the '99 honda stalling issues and was hoping somebody had an answer before I start throwing money into parts that don't need to be replaced. If anybody has had these issues can you please advise me as has to correct the problem without driving it off a cliff?

    Thanks

. Check the ignition switch for wear, pitting, or melting.

. Replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil inside the distributor. Be sure to apply silicone heat transfer compound to the back of the new ICM. Worn out distributor caps and rotors often cause the ICM and coil to fail--replace, if they haven't been changed in 60,000 miles.
